Natural Family Planning
Natural family planning refers to the practice of achieving or avoiding pregnancies according to an informed awareness of a woman's fertility. It is not "calendar rhythm". Couples who learn natural family planning learn how to read the signs of a woman's body to determine her fertile and infertile times.
Two methods of natural family planning are available to married couples in Eastern Oklahoma. The Couple-to-Couple League offers instruction in the sympto-thermal method of natural family planning. This method uses the woman's basal body temperature as the primary sign for determining fertile and infertile times. Classes are Nov. 12th, Dec. 10th, Jan. 14th, & Feb. 11th, 7-9 P.M. at St. John Medical Center, or Sept. 8th & Oct. 6th, from 12:30 - 5:30 P.M. at St. Francis Hospital in the Emerald Room. For information or registration, please call (918)836-8899 or (918)481-9091. A HOME STUDY COURSE is available. To order, please call 1-800-745-8252or www.cli.org.

In the Bartlesville area, private instruction is available in the Creighton Model of natural family planning.
