Internet

Website Manager /Art Director
Website
Management:
Managing a web site involves more than knowing html. Web site management
involves bringing together a wide knowledge base of applications
which build a positive and dynamic consumer oriented experience.
This positive experience keeps existing clients happy and gives
potential clients that little fuzzy feeling inside. As web site
manager Ievaluated and implemented many different Cost saving, but
powerful technologies (WebTrends, Dart, WebBoard, The affiliate
Progam etc...) this responded in an overall positive user experience.
Marketing Analysis:
In keeping with a powerful user experience I always keep an
eye on the top web related companies and cross matrix that with
our own strategies and statistical information. By researching what
the best companies have to offer the best I am able to see what
methodswork best I use this information to improve our own user
experience or increase click through rates. I Maintain statistical
information using several different advertising tracking systems
(ad-manage, Dart, webtrends etc...) I Gather this information, analyze
it (to better understand and evaluate, and rate the success of our
current round of promotions), and then I implement a revenue and/or
traffic generating model.
Art Direction :
In a world built on the speed of the internet, it is important
that we continue to be noticed and keep our branding clean fresh
and up-to-date. I have always been a person that adjusts well to
different situations. When given the call to do something new, I
take on head first and give it 100%.

Advertising
Anything, Tulsa Oklahoma, September 1997
- July 1998
Full service advertising agency specializing in television, radio, print
media.
Director
of Creative Services
Promotion
Development:
Being
placed in front of a microscope is something an artist must experience
on a daily basis, but being directly responsible for the success
or of a promotion, or being directly responsible for the total waste
of a "whole lot of money" is something that brings out
the best in me. When a sales person was stuck they came to one man.
They came to me because they understood that I treated each clients
project not as a job, but as a personal indulgence into a consumer
related experience (what will make me buy, is this message to bold
/not bold enough, what colors are people attracted to this time
of year etc...).
Art Direction:
Public relations with your clientele is extremely important, but
public relations within our own people is all to often forgotten.
As Creative Director, I was not just incharge of directing the the
daily production of art, but I was in charge of directing the daily
lives of people, and these people just like a printing press have
problems, and issues that need our attention. Daily
forces that control peoples lives, their families and their relationships
are at work and we need to be able to adjust to these. It has always
been my duty to keep a happy but disciplined work enviornment, but
I always remember it starts with me first, A leader needs to lead
by example not words alone.
Art Creation:
Here
total creative freedom was our motto, no constraints create attractive
art and promotions. Without going overboard large format graphics
were our specialty. Every month the promotions and advertisements
that would be used for the upcoming months were designed by myself
and 2 other artists. We had in-house printing, cutting, and die-cutting.
We also had a Gerber vinyl cutting machine that was used for cutting
vinyl signs.
Print Supervision:
Anyone
can look at a job and tell if the color is consistent and the message
bold, but supervising pressman often means dealing with people who
have years experience at their trade and are extremely good at what
they do. I always tried to establish a teacher pupil relationship
with printshop owners, sales teams and pressmen, this relationship
building ensured high quality because they want to show off what
they can do, this often kept our product very clean and our prices
very low which made the overall experience the best it could be.

Development:
I never want just a job, I want a job that scares me alittle. I
want a job that pushes my abilities to their outer limits and in
the process, pushes my knowledge higher and higher. Deadlines, Deadlines,
Deadlines. Working for one of the southern leaders in the journalism
is an experience that no one should pass up. Tight Hourly Deadlines,
National exposure, Dealing with the associated press USA today and
news agencies all of the country and the world brought out the best
in me. My Quality and dedication always stood out. I was unfortunately
a favortie of many of the reporters due to the fact that i was at
work daily and i was at work ontime. I was the worker that they
called whenever someone needed it done. This added to the Stress
but at the same time this position gave me the excitemetn and energy
that i crave.

Two
Brothers Design, Tulsa
Oklahoma, October 1995 - September 1997
Design Group Specializing in Marketing And Image Development.
Art
Director
Art Direction:
An
opportunity to judge my level of commitment presented itself while
working for Two Brothers. Two brothers was an excellent company,
it had products and a market but no focus or direction. I noticed
what the owner needed submitted a proposal and the the adventure
begun. Dealing with freelance artists and hiring artists was the
foundation of my duties at two brothers. With the exception of one
other inhouse artist all of our artists were freelancers which meant,
quality control was in full effect, and dealing with artists and
correcting their mistakes was a full time job paying artists and
vendors and employees who worked at a retail store doubled the workload.
Art Creation:
Besides
handling the day to day operations the creative aspect of my position
was very challenging. I was responsible for store sinage, t-shirt
art, business cards, quality checked all merchandise and other artists
work for quality, Negotiated supply costs and printing costs with
different companies. Worked on web-site design and book covers and
proofed hundreds of pages of copy for 2 books.
