"I started my martial arts training in the late 60's. My training included the disciplines of Taekwondo, boxing and Shotokan Karate. Additionally, I study Judo during the early 70's, which broaden my martial arts knowledge foundation and increased my overall awareness of the Arts. During the mid to late 70's, I received advanced training under the directions of "Renshi" Ernest Parker, Jr., in the discipline of Sim-Do (Korean) and further my advancement in Shotokan Karate. Renshi Parker introduced me to his instructor during the early 80's, "Kyoshi" Freddie L. Giddens, "Teach", who later became my mentor and senior instructor when Renshi Parker was relocated do to his military obligation.

"I began training under "Teach", who is the Founder of Teach's Universal Martial Arts Association (T.U.M.A.A.). Teach had combined the Art of Sim-Do, Boxing, Karate, Judo, Kendo under T.U.M.A. Teach had exchanged his experience and knowledge with Grand Master Ed Brown, the Founder of Black Knight Karate Association, GoJu and Great Grand Master "Shidoshi" Ron Van Clief, Chinese Goju. Teach had trained for many years and had oranized and conducted many tournaments, demonstrations and seminars with Grand Master Brown. In addition, Teach utilized his specialized training and experience to engage Shidoshi Ron Van Clief to deliver martial arts seminars to Army Soldiers and their families in Korea and Hinesville, Georgia. In 1996, I had the opportunity to advanced my skills by observing Shidoshi Ron Van Clief during his presentations and seminars in Jacksonville, Florida.

"My training in Hapkido started in the mid 80's under Sensei Melvin Cauley, who at the time was training under the leadership and directions of Teach. I am training again in Taekwondo with 'Master' Keith Jenkins of Hinesville, GA. If it wasn't for the effort of these respectable martial arts masters, I would not be the martial artist that I am today. To everyone who helped me along my way, I say thank you! My goal in the martial arts is to learn as much as anyone is willing to teach me, to gather as much knowledge as possible, and to share my knowledge and experience with fellow martial artists."
