And so, I am back from my whirlwind travels to HK and Japan. I've lots of pictures to share and I guess me wife and I will put it online for the benefit of all. It was a great time of catching up with friends and seeing the different sights both countries had to offer.

I guess my favourite place in HK for now is Victoria's Peak. Just having a cuppa on a lazy weekday afternoon with a beautiful view of HK was just surreal. http://www.cafedecogroup.com/cafed/v_deco.asp

In Japan, I truly liked the island of Hokkaido and my favourite place would have to be Hakodate. Believe it or not, it also has many buildings with western style influence. We stumbled upon this little hamlet like place where there was a Shinto Temple, Episcopal Church, Roman Catholic church and a Greek Orthodox church all located almost side by side to each other. The freaky thing is that just round the corner from this area of motomachi, you have slopes that are San Francisco-esque, overlooking the harbour! http://www.city.hakodate.hokkaido.jp/english/$sight/guide/area/motomati.htm

I personally think that after Quebec City in Canada, this must be the 2nd most romantic place I've been to on earth. http://www.mestern.net/canada/quebec/drive/index.php (picture look a little old, but trust me, this is one of the places you must visit on earth before you die!)

And so after all these travels, I book into Army Camp tomorrow for my reservist training for 5 days. I wonder what's on the training program...hmm.

Oh yes, for those who have been following my blog, do note that I have withdrawn from the Masters program 2 weeks ago. The course administration was not up to standard and did not deliver basic requirements as stated in the course prospectus.
