To Live, Love and Loathe!

Ok, so how did I get myself enrolled in a part time distance learning program with an Irish business school? Hmm...I am not quite sure myself! But in all honesty, it is a calculated risk that I am taking.

For those who are still in the dark, I have signed up to take a Masters in Science course with specialization in either Finance (1st choice) or Marketing (2nd choice). And the school I am applying to? Smurfit School of Business

I kid you not. No, it is not the school for SMURFS! (I can actually hear sniggering) It's a school in Ireland that is quite reputable for her business school. Seems that James Joyce was one of the alumnus of University College of Dublin (UCD), of which the Smurfit School belongs to. These days, the university is also known as the National University of Ireland. Talk about having an identity crisis.

Well, I believe this is the time in my life where I have to upgrade my paper qualifications. Not an MBA yet. Costs too much. Not to mention the time involved in taking the GMAT. But for now, the MSc suffices (that is, if they accept my application. Academic advisor seems quite certain that application will go through)

And now, time to sleep. Got a long 3 days ahead in Malaysia.

Master in Finance is an interesting choice, it will be fun, focus on what you like to get out of the course and have a good time with lots of learning. On your path to greater height. Cheers.
