| 1971 Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in New York City to Afeni Shakur, a member of the Black Panther Party. Afeni was pregnant in jail with Tupac on charges of bombing. Shortly after Tupac was born Afeni changed his name from Lesane Parish Crooks to Tupac Amaru Shakur which meant shining serpent , thankful to god 1975 - 1983 Tupac's family shuttles between the Bronx and Harlem, at times living in shelters. 1983 Legs comes to live with the Shakur familyand introduces Afeni to Crack.
