Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16th 1971 in a New York Hospital . When Tupac was young he moved to Baltimore wher he went to a school of Arts .  After that he moved to Marin City on the West Coast where he went to Tampalpais High School but didn't stay long . He left as soon as he could and only got a general equivancy diploma . He left home and started to write poetry . Tupac formed a group called strictly dope with five other members . The group recorded an album with TNT Records but it was never actually released . In 1991 debut album called "2Pacolypse Now" was released and the track "Brendas Got A Baby" got to number 3 in the rap charts .In 1992 his 2nd album "Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z." was released and it had the hit single "Keep Ya Head Up" on it . Then  Tupac joined the group Thuglife  . There album was released in 1994 called "Thug Life Vol 1" . Originally Notorious B.I.G. was going to be in the group but he joined Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records instead . Tupac's third album "Me Against The World" was released when he was in jail . The single "Dear Mama" was on the album . Tupac was bailed out of jail by Suge Knight , the owner of Deathrow Records . Soon after 2Pac joined Deathrow . His first Deathrow album "All Eyez on me " was a chart topper . It also had Tupac first Number 1 single on it , "California Love" . In 1995 Tupac married Keisha Morris . In 1996 he released "Hit em Up" which was a killa diss towards Bad Boy . Tupac changed his name to Makaveli after an Italian magician who faked his death . Tupac was shot in Suge Knight's car in L.A. after watching a Mike Tyson boxing Match on September 7th 1996 . He died in hospital at 4:03pm on September 13th . After his death "The 7 Day Theory" . "RU Still Down" , "Stilll I Rise" and "Greatest Hits were released .
