The Story

Follows the adventure of the 14 year old juvenile delinquent Yuusuke Urameshi. His young life was abruptly ended when he tried to save a child from getting hit by a car, forfeiting his life instead. However Koenma, prince of the dead who was ruling in the absence of his father Enma, told him that he was not supposed to die. Yusuke was given a series of tests, if he would pass them, he would be able to live again. He passed the tests and his spirit was transferred back into his body. He then found out he was gifted with Spiritual powers. He is now a Spiritual Detective for Koenma and together with Kuwabara Kazuma, his psychic inclined human friend; Kurama, the youko reborn as a human (Shuuichi Minamino); and Hiei, the cold hearted fire demon; they fight to keep the human world safe.
