The lighting in the side roads are side
entry ELECO (
DAVIS ) GR551 lanterns ,
DAVIS
GR526/II lanterns , THORN
BETA 5 lanterns ( 1980s type ) ,
THORN
BETA 5 lanterns . All these lanterns
are integral gear , 35W SOX bulbs and with NEMA socket
photocells.
SPRING 1998
All the town centre lighting was changed to
8M URBIS HERITAGE BLENHEIM metal posts with the single arm top entry
STRUT brackets with URBIS ALBANY large lanterns ( painted black ,
integral gear , FROSTED ROUND BOWL , SONT BULB , miniature 1 part
photocell ) . The old lighting was 8M metal posts with THORN
ALPHA 3 lanterns ( less gear ,
semi-cut off bowls , SON BULBS and 2 part PHOTOCELLS ) and the posts
and lanterns were painted brown .
