  Most of the street lights in this village are on telegraph posts mounted at 5M and the lanterns are on small brackets . Most of the lanterns are 2 types of top entry THORN BETA 4 lanterns ( refractor bowl , clear bowl - plastic refractor , less gear , MBF BULBS ) and they got NEMA sockets photocells on the telegraph posts next to the brackets , some side entry AC FORD AC 850 lanterns ( integral gear , MBF BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) .

In the 80s the council installed a mini roundabout at the junction of BROOK ROAD ( B4544 ) , NEW ROAD . They installed one 8M metal post with a GEC Z9554M (WRTL MRL 135 ) lantern (135W SOX BULB , PLASTIC TYPE , LESS GEAR , NEMA SOCKET PHOTOCELL ) . And the metal post was painted with a grey colour paint .

In 2002 - 2003 this post was replaced with a new 10M metal post with a ORANGE telephone system AERIAL on it with a big new control box for it near the 10M post . The new lantern is a URBIS ZX2 lantern ( white top , integral gear , SONT BULB , NEMA SOCKET PHOTOCELL ) .

In 2001 - 2002 the council installed more mini roundabouts along BROOK ROAD ( B4544 ) ( BATES LANE , WORLDS END LANE junctions ) and they installed 5M metal posts with hocky stick brackets with side entry PHILIPS SGS 201 lanterns ( integral gear , SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) .
