Most of the GROUP A ( main roads ) lights are WRTL MRL 6 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , NEMA socket photocells ) THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( less gear , SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , NEMA socket photocells ) , THORN ALPHA 3 lantern ( less gear , SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , very early type ) , THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , NEMA socket photocells ) , GEC Z8430CM lanterns ( less gear , SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls ) , HOLOPHANE SYRACUSE MEDIUM lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , side entry URBIS ZX2/3 lanterns ( integral gear , SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , WRTL SR 200 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , flat glass bowls , NEMA socket photocells ) , one PHOSEWARE P151 lantern ( less gear , SON BULB ? , NEMA socket photocell ) , one post top THORN GAMMA 4 lantern ( less gear , SONT BULB , NEMA socket photocell ) , one GEC Z8526 lantern ( less gear , SONT BULB , semi-cut off bowl , NEMA socket photocell ) and some other types of lanterns .

 Most of the GROUP B ( side roads ) lights are side entry SIMPLEX DIADEM lanterns ( SON BULBS , less gear ) , WRTL ( DAVIS ) GR70 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , side entry URBIS ZX1 lanterns ( integral gear , dished polycarbonate bowl , white tops , SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , side entry URBIS ZX1 lanterns ( integral gear , dished polycarbonate bowl , black tops , MH BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , THORN BETA 79 lanterns ( plastic type , integral gear , SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , DAVIS STARLINE 70 ( integral gear , SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , post top THORN GAMMA 6 lanterns ( integral gear , M BF bulbs ? , small canopy ) , a top entry THORN BETA 4 lantern ( MBF bulb , less gear , RTE P42 photocell ) , post top URBIS K-LUX lanterns ( integral gear , SONT BULBS , MH BULBS , miniature 1 part photocells ) , side entry GEC Z8896 lanterns ( SON BULBS , less gear , NEMA socket photocells ) and some other types of lanterns .

Most of the posts along GROUP A ( main roads ) , GROUP B ( side roads ) are metal type and they are dark green colour .

TORBAY ROAD ( B3199 ) YEAR OCT 2003	There is alot of 8M metal posts and some 10M metal posts along this road and most of the lanterns are WRTL MRL 6 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , SELC 841 NEMA socket photocells ) and some THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , SELC 841 NEMA socket photocells ) . In SEPT 1991 along this road were most of the lanterns were GEC 8426 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls ) and the RTE P42 photocells were mounted on top of the metal posts . There were some THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , NEMA socket photocells ) along this road as well and the metal posts were the same green colour as in 2003 . You can see a lot of the old RTE P42 photocells on the top of the metal posts in 2003.
TORBAY ROAD ( B3199 ) YEAR OCT 2003	This is a close up of one of the WRTL MRL 6 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , semi-cut off bowls , SELC 841 NEMA socket photocells ) that is along TORBAY ROAD ( B3199 ) . This lantern is on a new 8M post.
UNION STREET YEAR OCT 2003	This is a close up of one of the HOLOPHANE SYRACUSE MEDIUM lanterns ( SONT BULB , SELC 841 NEMA socket photocell ) a lot of these are mounted 8M mounted on the walls of shops and it is along UNION STREET .
TORWOOD STREET ( B3199 ) YEAR OCT 2003	This is a close up of one of the GEC Z8430CM lantern ( less gear , SONT BULB , semi-cut off bowl ) and all the lights along this road is controlled by one photocell . All these are on 8M metal posts and they are along TORWOOD STREET ( B3199 ) . .
BEACON QUAY YEAR OCT 2003	This is a close up of one of the side entry GEC Z8896 lanterns ( MBF BULBS ? , less gear ) and these lanterns are on cast iron posts with swan neck brackets and they are along BEACON QUAY . These are on the harbour wall which is next to the sea .
UPTON ROAD YEAR OCT 2003	This is a close up of one of the side entry WRTL SR 200 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , flat glass bowls , SELC 841 NEMA socket photocells ) . You can see the old RTE P42 photocells on the top of these 8M metal posts .
