1978

There is a lot of STANTON AND STANLEY 5M concrete posts with swan neck brackets and 5M metal posts . The lanterns are ( ATLAS ) THORN BETA 5 ( 35W SOX BULBS , top entry , old type bowls , new type bowls , old type canopies ) , THORN GAMMA 8 ( 35W SOX BULBS , less gear , post top , metal posts ) , REVO C14408/T ( GLS BULBS , top entry , clear bowls , refractors , concrete posts ) , SIMPLEX lantern ( 35W SOX , top entry ) and a MAZDA ? lantern ( SOX bulb , top entry , open type bowl ) and this was mounted at 6M high and this one was at the junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM ROAD (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) .

Here is a list of some roads in STALHAM in 1978 with the list of lanterns that I know of.

Junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM ROAD (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) .	MAZDA ? lantern ( SOX bulb , top entry , open type bowl ) on a 6M metal post .

1979 - 1990

All the old time switches were replaced with photocells.

All the GLS lanterns were replaced with new 35W SOX lanterns with RT P42 photocells and the other old sox lanterns got new RT P42 photocells on them . Most of the 5M concrete posts got new metal brackets on them with new top entry PHILIPS MI50 lanterns ( 35W SOX bulbs , RT P42 photocells ) .

Along the HIGH STREET on the THORN BETA 5 lanterns , NEMA socket photocells were installed on them and on the 6M light ( MAZDA ? lantern ) at the junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) a NEMA socket photocell was installed on the control box which is on the 6M metal post.

Along the main road next to STALHAM ( WAYFORD ROAD , A149 ) new 10M metal posts were installed with PHILIPS MA 50 lanterns ( 135W SOX bulbs , less gear , RT P42 photocells ) .

1993 - 1999

At the junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) two new mini roundabouts were installed with new 6M metal posts with side entry PHILIPS MI36 lanterns ( 55W SOX bulbs , RT P42 photocells ) and the old 6M light were taken down .

 Along the HIGH STREET lot more lights were installed and a new one way system along part of it.

2000

Along MILLSIDE ROAD the THORN GAMMA 8 ( 35W SOX , post top , RT P42 photocells , metal posts ) is still here and there were some new post top CU PHOSCO P178 RIX lanterns ( 35W SOX , post top , RT P42 photocells , metal posts ) .

HIGH STREET YEAR 2000	This is along the HIGH STREET . This is a STANTON AND STANLEY 5M concrete post with a metal bracket and on this post used to be a swan neck bracket . The lantern is a THORN BETA 5 ( 35W SOX , top entry , new type bowl, old type canopy , RT P42 photocell )
HIGH STREET YEAR 1993	This is along the HIGH STREET near the junction of the YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) . This is a GEC 5M concrete post with a THORN BETA 5 lantern ( 35W SOX , top entry , old type canopy , RT P42 photocell ) . In the late 90s a new metal bracket was put on to this post with a side entry PHILIPS MI26 lantern ( 35W SOX bulb , RT P42 photocell ) . In the back ground you can see the MAZDA ? lantern ( SOX bulb , top entry , open type bowl ) on a 6M metal post .
Junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) YEAR 1993	This is at the junction of the HIGH STREET , YARMOUTH ROAD , INGHAM (B1151) and LOWER STAITHE ROAD (B1151) and you can see the 6M metal post with the top entry MAZDA ? lantern ( SOX bulb , top entry , open type bowl ) . On the control box there is a NEMA socket photocell on it . The 6M post was thick with the conduit runs up on the outside of the post which goes in to the control Box . The control Box has got the SOX control gear . Then a wire comes out , which goes in to the lantern . This post and light is not here anymore. This was replaced with some new 6M metal posts with PHILIPS MI 36 lanterns in the late 90s with 2 mini roundabouts .
MILLSIDE ROAD YEAR 2000	This is along MILLSIDE ROAD and the THORN GAMMA 8 ( 35W SOX , post top , RT P42 photocells , metal posts ) is still here and there were some new post top CU PHOSCO P178 RIX lanterns ( 35W SOX , post top , RT P42 photocells , metal posts ) a long this road.
