There is one of these posts along
this road . It is a Concrete Utilities ( CU PHOSCO ) Avenue
2D concrete post with a Arc 2D bracket . The lantern is a
top entry GEC Z9481 lantern ( 35W SOX , RT P42 photocell ) .
This post and lantern was still here in OCT 2002 .
In the background you can see the
new posts along the rest of this road. The posts are 6M
BRITISH STEEL metal posts with post top PHILIPS
SGS 201 lanterns ( SONT
bulb , Nema socket photocells ) .

This is further along
FREDERRICKS ROAD and this post
is a STANTON AND STAVELEY 5M Concrete post with a side entry
REVO SOLDOR lantern ( 35W SOX bulb ) . This is the last REVO
SOLDOR lantern along this road. The other lights in this
photo are post top PHILIPS
SGS 201 lantern ( SONT bulb
, Nema socket photocell ) on a 6M BRITISH STEEL metal post
and THORN BETA
5 lanterns ( SOX bulbs ,
Nema socket photocells , latest design ) and these are on
new metal brackets which are on STANTON AND STAVELEY 5M
Concrete posts .

Along this road there are 8M GEC Concrete posts and this one is the
only one left with this original bracket with a top entry
GEC Z9465 lantern ( 90W SOX bulb ). The rest of the posts
has got new side entry metal brackets on them .
The lanterns are ELECO ( DAVIS ) GR
100 lanterns (less gear , 90W SOX bulbs , Nema socket
photocells) , PHILIPS MA lanterns and some SONT lanterns.
In this section of road all the
lights has got overhead wires on them .

This photo is of a GEC 5M Concrete
post with a top entry GEC open type lantern ( 35W SOX bulb ,
RT P42 photocell ) . This post and lantern is not here any
more.
All the posts along DURLEIGH
ROAD were 5M Concrete posts
with top entry GEC Z951 lanterns ( 35W SOX bulbs ) and top
entry GEC open type lanterns ( 35W SOX bulbs ) .
In the early 90s all these were
changed to 6M BRITISH STEEL metal posts with side entry
brackets . The new lanterns were side entry PHILIPS
SGS 201 lanterns ( SONT
bulbs , Nema socket photocells ) .

centre. This is mounted at 8M on a wall .

There are some of these lights along this path . The
posts are modern 5M metal posts with post top AC FORD AC802
lanterns ( SON BULB , photocell ) . This lantern is a
uplighter and the bulb is in the base of the lantern. The
light shines up to the reflecter and this reflecter shines
the light down towards the ground. This is the only town
that I seen these in .

Utilities ( CU PHOSCO ) concrete posts.

This GEC lantern was in the town centre and it was on a
8M GEC concrete post . This lantern was changed in the 90s
with a new metal bracket with a DAVIS
( ELECO ) GR100 ( 90W SOX , less gear , plastic lantern ,
new type bowl , NEMA socket photocells )
