In the city centre all the lamp posts are metal and painted grey. Along the GROUP A ( main roads , 8-10m ) lights are post top PHILIPS SGS 305 ( TRAFFIC VISION ) lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , side entry SELUX SX 845 lanterns ( SONE BULBS, SELC 2 part photocells and these are fitted near the top of the post above the lantern ) , post top DW WINDSOR STRATUM lanterns ( SONT BULBS , photocells ) , side entry THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , post top THORN GAMMA 3 lanterns , side entry THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , URBIS SYSTEM 2000 lanterns and posts , post top KIM lanterns , top entry SUGG ROCHESTER lanterns and some other type lanterns.

  In the city centre Along the GROUP B ( side roads ) lights are post top DW WINDSOR STRATUM lanterns ( SONT BULBS , photocells ) , side entry THORN BETA 79 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) , post top CU PHOSCO P178 lanterns , URBIS SAPPHIRE lanterns , side entry URBIS ZX12 lanterns , post top URBIS K-LUX lanterns , post top SELUX lanterns , side entry PHILIPS MI55 lanterns ( SONT BULBS , NEMA socket photocells ) and some other type lanterns.

Outside of the city centre the posts are made of concrete and these were made by STANTON AND STAVELEY and

CU PHOSCO ( CONCRETE UTILITIES ) .

CAVENDISH STREET This is near to the A65 YEAR SEPT 2003	1st 5M concrete post is by STANTON AND STAVELEY and this has got a new metal bracket on it with a old type THORN BETA 5 lantern ( 35W SOX , old type bowl , NEMA socket photocell ). 2nd 5M concrete post is by CU PHOSCO ( CONCRETE UTILITIES ) and it is a BYWAY X post and this has got a triangle lock on it . This has got a PHILIPS MI26 lantern ( 35W SOX , NEMA socket photocell ) . Some of the other lights are 5M BRITISH STEEL metal posts with the latest type of the THORN BETA 5 lantern ( 35W SOX , NEMA socket photocell ).
WEST STREET (A65 ) YEAR SEPT 2003	These are 10M STANTON AND STAVELEY concrete posts with DAVIS ( ELECO ) GR150 lanterns ( 135W SOX , less gear , NEMA socket photocells ) . There are some new metal posts with PHILIPS MA 50 lanterns ( integral gear , 135W SOX , NEMA socket photocells ).
KIRKSTALL ROAD (A65 ) YEAR SEPT 2003	This is at the junction of KIRKSTALL ROAD (A65 ) with WILLOW ROAD . These are 12M STANTON AND STAVELEY concrete posts with DAVIS ( ELECO ) GR200 ( 180W SOX , less gear , NEMA socket photocells ). On one of these posts has got a PHILIPS MA 60 lantern ( integral gear , 180W SOX , NEMA socket photocell).
YORK PLACE YEAR SEPT 2003	6M FABRIKAT JUPITER RANGE conical metal posts with post top DW WINDSOR STRATUM lanterns ( 100W SONT BULBS , RT 2 part photocells ) This photo is in the day time and night time.
CITY SQUARE ( Junction of PARK ROW , WELLINGTON STREET and QUEBEC STREET ) . YEAR SEPT 2003	10M FABRIKAT JUPITER RANGE conical metal posts with side entry SELUX lanterns ( SONE BULBS , SELC 842 two part photocells and these are fitted near the top of the post above the lantern ) . On each post there is a lantern which is mounted at 10M SELUX ( SX 845 ) 400W SON and another lantern ( SELUX SX 843 ) 70W SONT ,which is mounted at 5M. ALBION PLACE YEAR SEPT 2003	8 M FABRIKAT metal posts with lanterns from Camebert from France and these have got 250W MH bulbs in them . On the other side of the road the posts are aluminium and they made by Thorn Villette from France and the tubes in these posts are , top 4 x 4pins 36W PLL and bottom 3 x 4pins 36W PLL. BRIGGATE YEAR SEPT 2003	10 M URBIS metal posts with URBIS SYSTEM 2000 lanterns ( 150W SONT BULBS , SELC 842 two part photocells and these are fitted near the top of the post above the lantern ) . This photo is in the night time.
SHEAF STREET YEAR SEPT 2003	These are 8M STANTON AND STAVELEY concrete posts with THORN ALPHA 4 lantern ( 90W SOX , integral gear , NEMA socket photocell ) , GEC Z9464 lantern ( 90W SOX , NEMA socket photocell ) , PHILIPS MA 90 lantern ( integral gear , 90W SOX , NEMA socket photocell). Next to the old 8M concrete post with the PHILIPS MA 90 lantern is a new 8M metal post with a THORN ALPHA 4 lantern ( 90W SOX , integral gear , NEMA socket photocell ) and the old post is not connected to the mains any more. There is one of these posts at the junction of WATERLOO STREET and HUNLET ROAD and this one has got a bigger bracket on it. On this post there is a GEC lantern ( 90W SOX , NEMA socket photocell ) .
