Turbo Kit Construction

Turborex has closed it's doors but has left this site up to help others build there own turbo kit. TurboRex did created a complete bolt on system. We have incorporated the stock Honda 1st Generation 1985 to 1987 CRX DX or S model exhaust manifold. The DX and S Model are carberated and the catalytic convertor is mounted on this header.   Remove the cat on the DX or S manifold and you now have the manifold that is required to complete the kit.  The exhaust manifolds are differant from the SI but bolts up perfectly to the SI motor. You will be required to locate this manifold; they are very common at your local wrecking yard. This also means that if you ever need another manifold the cost will be a fraction of any other kit manifold on the market today. We did manufactured a special adapter plate to mount our T3 turbo to the 85-87 CRX DX or S exhaust manifold.

The hot air piping is 2-inch stainless steel.  The intake cone is also stainless steel, with a new high velocity design. The hot air piping is finished by glass blast to a satin luster and will not be painted.

The intake air piping 90 degree connector is made from black neoprene impregnated fiberglass. The 2 to 3 inch increaser and 2 inch straight connectors tying the hot air piping to the turbo and manifold are made of orange silicone impregnated fiberglass.   The silicone connectors withstands continuous temperatures of 500 degrees. All or connectors are of Aircraft quality and hand made for a custom fit.

The header exhaust system is 2-inch cold rolled steel. The tail end of which is flared. This will allow it to slide over your stock header exhaust pipe just before the exhaust flange and donut.

We had selected the finest after market components to insure that you will have trouble free performance. Vortech's Fuel Management Unit, MSD's Boost Timing Master and the K&N Air Filter systems are all included in our kit.
