The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The good--we finally got a phone hooked up! The guy came yesterday and did all the finagling required and this morning Turk Telekom finally flipped the switch, so now we are real people with a real phone number! The next step is to get the internet access turned on so that I don't have to lug the computer and trek to MIL's apt to post this blog and read email. It's almost like we're living in the 20th century or something.
The bad--the stomach cramps started about 4:30 Sunday morning and the diarrhea hit later that evening. I have no idea what I ate or drank or did to cause this, but it's still not fully gone. Ekrem was trying to tell me that it was psychological (stomach cramps=anxiety), but now he has it, too. I just want to give him so much grief for that!
The ugly--the new kitten, Askim ("my love"), has turned into a holy terror, threatening other cats and chasing Afacan around. What the ???? She still has that little Nermal-looking baby-face, but is completely full of cattitude. She escaped out the balcony door this morning and was threatening a huge old tabby cat. I'm not sure what was on Askim's mind, but the tabby didn't seem to be concerned about it. She had a look on her face like, "Bring it on, (yawn) if that's what you really want." So much for Ms. Sweet-N-Innocent.
