A Nice Outing
School started this week, so I've been pretty much on my own during the day--just me and the furry kids, who are as much or more of a handful than skin kids. I've managed to do a lot of cooking and put some stuff in the freezer for later, when I don't feel well or just don't feel like cooking much. I love soup, so I've made several big pots of soup for the freezer, as well as spaghetti sauce.
Ekrem treated me to a brief outing today. It was actually a necessary trip to try to find some alfalfa tablets for this anemia that's cropped up, but we made the best of it. The first shopping center that we went to didn't have either alfalfa or chlorophyll in the pharmacy or the vitamin store, so we just ate lunch in the food court and left. The second shopping center though, Capitol, had a GNC where we were able to pick up several bottles of alfalfa tablets and some fish oil capsules (good for baby's brain development). It was a pricey bill at around 150 ytl, ($100+/-), but worth it if it helps baby to be healthy.
On the way home, we stopped at the baby/maternity store in the village and I was treated to a new maternity outfit. By the time we finished all this, I was exhausted, so I headed upstairs to take a nap while Ekrem watched the furry children play. Askim has learned to "walk" on her hind legs and use her front paws as boxing gloves--cute! Sari has still not figured out that she is bigger than Askim and backs down every time. Poor little wuss!
