Home Sweet Home
Well here we are, finally back at home. Why do those trans-Atlantic flights seem to keep getting longer and longer? I managed to sleep through the majority of this one, then slept in the cab on the very loooooong ride home, then crashed in the bed for a few hours, and now I'm hungry. I had the foresight to freeze some "comfort food" like vegetable soup, so that's heating up on the stove as I write this.
We have so much stuff to unpack that I have no idea of where to begin. I have an entire suitcase stuffed full of baby things and nowhere to put them! What will eventually be the baby's room is still Askim's room, although having spent the last 2 weeks closed up in it, she may be more than ready to vacate it.
This baby is such a little traveler already--he's already made 4 major trans-Atlantic flights and he hasn't even been welcomed earthside yet. I wonder how this will affect his personality? Will he be a wanderlust like his Baba? Or more content to stay at home like his Anne? Or perhaps somewhere in between--enjoying the traveling, but always happy to come home? We shall see.
