Meeeeeeeeeoooooooooow!

That is the constant noise in our house right now. Yup, Ms. Kitten, otherwise known as Askim, is in heat. Our little baby is groing up! We figured her for about 5 months old, but maybe we were off in our guesstimation? Isn't that a little early for a cat to "come into her own?"

A few days ago, she started staring out of the windows (moreso than usual) and "talking" to whoever happened to be out there--usually no one. I thought she might have been talking to the street cats, but I didn't see any outside. She's never been much of a talker, so this was an odd turn of events. Then her talking started to get out of hand--she was talking all the time, for no apparent reason. Now, the signs are unmistakable. She has that desperate quality to her meow, she trills a lot, she hunkers her front half down with her back half up in the air and tail to the side. Yup, she's a big girl now.

Unfortunately, Sari has decided that she needs to help Askim out. I realize that the pictures are a bit dated, so keep in mind that Sari is now about 22 kilos and Askim is still a petite 1-1.5 kilos. Big size discrepancy there! Not to mention that they are both girlies. Sari has been grabbing Askim by the scruff of her neck, which makes Askim think that help is on the way, only to realize that *nope,* a huge girly dog ain't going to make much difference! The Askim gets mad and her claws come out--right at Sari's nose.

I guess we need to get Ms. Thang to the vet and have her situation remedied. Poor baby!

See you all next year!
