Send Support Messages to Hunger Strikers in Death Fast Houses
In addition to the prisoners on hunger strike in Turkish jails, relatives and friends of the prisoners have been on solidarity hunger strike outside the prisons, in what are called 'Death Fast Houses'. Five non prisoners have already died on the death fast.
In early July the Turkish state released several dozen hunger striking prisoners who were very weak. If they end the hunger strike they will be returned to the isolation cells. By this ploy the Turkish state hopes to avoid blame for their deaths. These prisoners have continued their protest in the Death Fast Houses, and two have since died.
