Life is so hard here...isn't it guys?
This is the resort we joined in the area.  Its called the Awana Kijal.  We also joined a country club.  Coming back to the US will be so hard!
Kerteh is our home town.  Wendy once described it as "a strip of land in the middle of the jungle that they drove bulldozers through and paved".  That is about as accurate a summary as you will ever hear.
EVERYDAY LIFE IN KERTEH
This is Main Street Kerteh....Kinda like Main Street USA at Disney!
Notice the undeveloped jungle just beyond the road.  Also pay special attention to the dumpster at the bottom left of the picture.  This is a prime feeding spot for the chickens in the area.  And, you never know...you just might recognize that chicken on your plate in local restaurants as one of the regulars to the dumpster!  Kinda gives new meaning to the term "Range Fed Chicken".
Every house has a gecko.  We have affectionately taken to calling our "indoor" gecko George.  We have anywhere from 3 - 33 geckos living on the front and back porches.

We think George has taken a SPECIAL liking to Wendy.  He jumps on her quite regularly when she least expects it.
George scouts for Wendy and plans his next drop!
