LIFE IN OUR WORLD

Mommy and Conner go to the school library once each week to help the librarian.  Conner likes to curl up with a book while mommy does all the work.  Here we see Conner enjoying Go Dog Go!  by Dr. Seuss.

Below:  Is this a picture of a young Grandpa Ewald practicing?  NO!  Its Conner working on his golf game at the country club.  He is really coming along and one day plans to beat his Grandpa Ewald and his mommy!

Right:  Evan is really coming along on his golf game.  He has finished his lessons and works very hard to develop the picture perfect swing.  Just look at that concentration!  He even got the opportunity to play several holes with Grandpa Ewald in early November.  Maybe someday we'll see him in Augusta.

TRUCKS!  TRUCKS!  TRUCKS!

The Optimal International School Cub Scout Pack started up this fall.  Den meetings are filled with lots of crafts and activities.  One week the Pack had a vegetable and fruit boat race.  Each boy had to make a boat with his dad out of vegetables and fruits.  Even with all of the engineer dads there were quite a few boats that went sideways or sunk!  The Awana Kijal Resort was invaded with no prior warning.  Boy were they happy to have all that food in their pool.  The Fowler entry was a hot pepper raft with a lettuce sail.  Happily, it worked very well....until the sail collapsed from the heat and the peppers began to take on water.  Then, Evan lost all ability to control the boat and found himself half-way across the pool!  The day finished up with one of the all-time great water events of scouting.....A GREASED WATERMELON FIGHT!
