EASTER IN MALAYSIA
Evan and Conner dye eggs a few days before Easter
Our first Easter in Malaysia was different than any other Easter we've experienced.  We tried to keep all of the normal fun for the kids, but it just wasn't the same.  There was no ash Wednesday service or Good Friday service.  (Although some of the expats found time to celebrate the beginning of Lent with a Mardi Gras parade.)
Easter services for us were on Saturday night.  Since Sunday is the first day of the week here, Keith had to work and Evan had school on Easter Sunday.  We got up bright and early to look for eggs.  And yes, the Easter Bunny does have tunnels to Malaysia for egg delivery routes!

Our morning egg hunt started inside the house around 5:30am.  We quickly discovered that inside egg hunts before sunrise are much easier than outside egg hunts before sunrise.  Although we may have started a new family tradition....pre-sunrise egg hunts.  Definitely more challenging than post-sunrise!
Evan was worried about finding something other than eggs during the outside pre-sunrise egg hunt!
Conner proudly displays one of the fruits of his labor.  Wendy was a bit disappointed George didn't come to help with the egg hunt.
