Sunday, May 26, 2002

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell all of you that Sara passed away today at 2 PM.

The pneumonia she was diagnosed with yesterday led to greater complications (kidney failure and finally the dropping of her blood pressure).

After almost two years of battling with ALL (Acute Lymphositic Leukemia) she has gone home to rest with our Father in heaven.

As everyone that has met her at least once knows, she was an angel here on earth. Now, we must honor her and remember her and live as she did…

Sara didn’t complain – not even with her greatest of pain.

Sara didn’t just smile – she brought others to smile.

Sara didn’t just love – she opened her heart to EVERYONE and we all loved her.

Sara didn’t just have fun – she felt joy and gave joy in all that she did.

Sara didn’t stay with us long enough – not physically.

Sara will always be with each and every one of us.

In our hearts, in our memories, watching over us as an angel of God and on our smiles.

Service will be at St Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, MN at 7 PM on Thursday, May 30th, 2002. The obituary announcement is at the bottom of this page

To all of the many doctors, nurses and staff members at Fairview, Southdale Sara’s family thanks God for you. You allowed us to have Sara for so much longer than the three months an A.L.L. patient would live without treatment. You were there to provide comfort, healing and support.

To all of the pastors at St Andrew Lutheran Church – GOD BLESS YOU. Your love and faith have meant so much. (You inspire me!)

To all of the friends and family (and make no mistake – if Sara met you, you were both a new friend and family member) thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Without you we would not have hope.

One special note I need to make. Please keep strong in your faith and in your prayers. Tim, Jim, Cindy, Christine, Mary Jo, David and every family member need your support more than ever. They are, of course, a very strong family. Even the strongest person needs God in their lives.

I will leave this site running as long as Geocities will allow me to. The emails will be checked as often as I can. I hope to use this site as a prayer request tool in the very near future. We all hurt and suffer. We all need each other and God.
