Cafe Diblasi is one of the better restaurants on the Westbank. This Italian restaurant is run by Chef Mario DiBlasi. Although the menu is complete with the standard assortment of pasta and veal dishes, you can find good food made with seafood and chicken. The best dish in the house is the Crabcakes di Christy. This is a pair of pan fried crab cakes topped with shrimp and cream sauce. The cakes are accompanied by your choise of pasta( Alfredo, Marinara, or Bordelaise) and a serving of artichoke dressing. These are some of the best crab cakes in the city. Also popular is the Veal DiBlasi. This is pan fried veal topped with crabmeat and a lemon cream sauce. This is accompained by the same side dishes. The service is good. The waitstaff is young but they are well trained. The decor of the restaurant was nice. The only thing that seemed out of place was the music. They played rock music from the 70's. While I like that music, it seemed out of place in an Italian Restaurant.
