The Simple Things In Life
It's the simple things in life, that bring the greatest joy. And I'm most blessed to have married, a down to earth Country Boy.
  He's quiet, yet strong and handsome, and though he never says much. I'm bathed in loving glances, and swept up in his gentle touch.
We stand in awe of glorious sunsets, as Nature shares her grace. 'Tis her beauty that overwhelms us, leaving a smile to light our face.
And yet consider the beauty, that's inherant in that small act. A simple smile illuminates the darkness, as if promising to dispel the black.
And the simplicity of a promise, that you know that you must keep, Is enough, especially in Love's eyes, to make a strong man weep.
Five years ago, we made a promise, to cherish our true love. And today, that love's grown stronger, as we're blessed by God above.
With this one thought to hold on to, the circle has come round. Truth to understand complexities, lies in simplicity, we have found.
Whenever in doubt, remember, when you have love, you have enough. It's the strength that you must cling too, even when times are rough.
In counting my many blessings, my enduring source of joy, I simply Thank God every night, for YOU, Sweetheart, my country boy.
