In A Time To Sow and A Time To Harvest by Dayton Ward and Kevin Dilmore, The Enterprise, out of favor with Starfleet Command, is sent to answer a 200 hundred year old distress call. The Dokaalan, the race who sent the call, managed to survivethe destruction of their homeworld by building a colony in their systems asteroid belt. The Enterprise must help them with terra-forming of a nearby world, while trying to avert sabotage from an unseen foe.

In a Time to Love and A Time To Hate by Robert Greenberger the Enterprise is sent to the distant planetDelta Sigma IV when a Federation sponsered medical treatment has disasterous world wide consequenses. On the scene is Will Rikers father Kyle. But will he be a help or a hindrance?

In A Time To Kill and A Time To Heal by David Mack, the Enterprise is sent to the planet Tezwa to stop an immenent war with the Klingon Empire. Little do the Enterprise crew realize that they are also being sent to cover the crimes of the Federation President himself!

The concluding chapter of the series, A Time For War, A Time For Peace by Keith R.A, DeCandido, ties all of the threads of the previous novels and dovetails them nicely into the events of the feature film Star Trek: Nemesis.
