Tuuli's baby-faced, stick-thin supermodel look is deceiving,
but another Fluffy (remember that British band on the Sex
Pistols reunion tour?) they're not. This Ontario, Canada,
foursome may dress to kill, all fishnetted long legs and glittery
eye shadow, but fashion takes a backseat when they strap 'em
on - these girls know how to rock. They take the Muffs approach
to songwriting a step further, layering melodies and softening
screams, easing you slowly into their infectious, sweet alt-rock
groove - they're Ramones influenced, but more spunk than punk.
The last cut, "Baby, Baby," by the Vibrators, woulda been cuter if
they'd changed the lyrics ("Baby, baby, baby, won't you be my guy"),
but they still do it justice.
