Gourry laughed at the thought of the party, and thanked the certain trickster for help. He gave the four envelopes to Xelloss, hoping he could find Zelgadiss.
"I'm sure they'd all come. I know where I can find 'em." Xelloss smiled.
"Thanks! I can't wait!" waved Gourry. "I have to get the decorations, so come back soon to help!"
The trickster nodded and disappeared, as Gourry ran off towards Seyruun stores, making sure Lina thought he'd forgotten.
Xelloss carefully placed the letters in a place where each person could find it.
He left Amelia's in her book of justice... Filia, by Valgaav's bed.... and Zel's... well, he just dropped it infront of him.
Amelia's Reaction: "How sweet of Gourry! I'm definately going to come! Hmm... What should I give Lina?"
Filia's Reaction: "I'll gladly come when I make sure Val's taken care of! I know the perfect present for her, too!"
Zelgadiss' Reaction: "If Gourry planned it, then I'm sure it'll be one heck of a party." (Sarcastic) "How on earth did this just fall here?!?!"
Xelloss, all satisfied, made his way back to Gourry.
"I can't believe him! Why does he ALWAYS forget my birthday?!!?!" Lina yelled to nobody in particular. "It just isn't fair....." she sat on her bed, and curled up in a ball, leaning on her soft pillow.
She was turning 19. Almost an adult, and not once did Gourry remember her birthday. Nor anyone else. She knew she told him about it. But... he still never remembered.
"I wonder if he'll forget about me one day." she sighed, and lay fully on her bed to fall asleep.
"What do you think?" asked Xelloss, as he held up the cake.
Gourry looked at it, and then at Xelloss with a big smile. "I think she'll love it."
"Alright!" cheered Xelloss, as he set it down. He looked at it proudly, but failed to keep his mood for long, as he started to wail. "It's so tempting....!!!"
"I agree!" smiled Gourry.
Xelloss watched as Gourry reached to lick some delicious looking icing, from the incredibly huge cake. "I think I should keep the cake safe, ok Gourry?"
Gourry sighed, and whiped a tear from his eye. "Ok. Do we have the games ready?" he asked delighted.
"Ofcourse! That's the reason I'm here!" said the trickster, clasping his hands.
"Great! Then all we have to do, is set up the dance part. The decorations look great!"
"Yes, I'm sure Lina will be surprised. After all, this is a surprise party, ne?"
Gourry agreed, and picked up the CD pile they collected.
"I really want to see her expression when she sees the decorations! Thanks for the idea, Xelloss."
"No problem, pal. Just as long as you promise we'll play those games!"
"Oh... don't worry. I'll make sure of it! Especially THOSE games!" he winked.
