| She shivered, as she rubbed the goosebumps on her legs. Filia sat up, and looked around. It was dark, and she could only see the outline of the distant Fire Dragon Temple. She yawned, and crawled to a nearby rock. It was big enough for her to lean on, so she relaxed herself and watched the faint light of the temple. Keeping her legs together, she pulled them half-way up to her chin, and folded her hands on her stomach. "I wonder if only those creatures were the threat..." she said rather tired. She let out a huge yawn, and closed her eyes wanting more sleep. The blond made sure her cape was covering her so she wouldn't get cold, and started to softly snore. Xelloss appeared far from the sleeping Filia, and frowned. "Might as well just wake her up!" he said with a grin, rubbing his hands wickedly. He disappeared, and re-appeared infront of the quiet girl. "Hehehe..." Xelloss glared while grinning. He quietly tip-toed towards the dragon, and took a feather out of his pocket. He looked at it and said, "Nah." Then he searched another pocket in his cape. "Let's see..." he said with his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth. "A knife.... Filia's mace.... My secret documents... A water bottle... A wine bottle... some sugar.... a frog..." he paused, and shrugged, as he continued searching. "A cup... A pillow... A purple rose.... A chainsaw.... A... whatever that is...." he started getting his hands full, so he placed all his items on the floor, took off his cape, and neatly placed them atop it. "Now what can I do......" he said scratching the back of his head. The trickster sat on his two knees, and thought for a moment. With his staff beside him, and Filia still sleeping infront of him, he sighed. The monster started to get sad, realizing that he couldn't do anythng fun. He sighed again, and looked at his possessions, as a smile slowly appeared on his evil face. "Hmmm..." he looked at Filia, and back at his stuff. "Yes.... That's perfect!" he said happily rejoicing. He took the water, and the wine, in his two hands, and eyed the wine suspiciously. "Hmmm." he smiled. He put the two things infront of him, and took the cup, sugar, and purple rose. "Now how did that go...." he thought rubbing his chin. "Oh well!" he shrugged happily. He took the thing which name was lost to him, and eyed it carefully. It was plugged with a cork, and it had purple powder. He put that with the others, and smiled. With his chosen items infront of him, he snapped his fingers as a little smoke cloud appeared above them. It cleared away, and Xelloss grinned. There was no more water or sugar. A little bit of wine was left, though. And the cup was full with a purple liquid. The rose was still there, and he carefully picked it up in one hand, with the cup in the other. He stood up, and watched Filia for a minute. Then, he put back the rose, and walked over to the sleeping blond. "I have a surprise for you Filia!" he cheered smiling. "Not that I know what half of it is..." he mumbled "But here you go!" he kneeled over the dragon, and held her chin softly with his free hand. The trickster tilted her head upward, and placed the cup on her lips, while slowly pouring it into her mouth. Filia's eyes twicthed alittle, but she didn't wake up. "It should just take a second." said Xelloss standing up. He walked over to the rest of his supplies, and took the rose, wine, and pillow, over beside Filia. The monster sat next to her placing his head on the pillow, and watched as his frog hop away. He sighed, and drank the rest of the wine. Filia groaned, but still didn't open her eyes. Xelloss watched her carefully, and threw his empty wine bottle on his cape. He made himself comfortable, and pulled his knees close to him, but left them relaxefully open, as he leaned on the rock beside the dragon. "What's taking so long...." he whined. He held up the purple rose, and looked at it carefully. "Maybe I should use this thing....." he laughed, but was incredibly tired. The dragon next to him shifted, as her head leaned onto Xelloss' left shoulder. "Why am I so... tired..." yawned Xelloss, not noticing the weight on his arm. He looked at the stars in the sky, and then at the Fire Dragon Temple. Filia fell into a deep sleep, as Xelloss started to lose the smile on his face. "So... tired...." he mumbled leaning more on the rock. His pillow fell to his right side, and he started to fall asleep. His left leg fell limp, and the hand holding the purple rose, fell off his right knee, and landed on his left thigh. They slept peacefully, as the night continued on. This was the first time Xelloss actually slept, and he couldn't describe what he was feeling. He didn't even notice what he was leaning on, and what was leaning on him. Filia shivered, and snuck her right arm under Xelloss' left. She clutched it tightly while still in a deep sleep. The dragon smiled with comfort, and Xelloss just let a little smirk run across his face, but then quickly faded into a peaceful smile. They were sleeping together....? You'd think they did that on purpose, but really, they'd rather kill eachother.... -_- The sudden bird sound awoke Filia, as her eyes widened in shock. "E-Eh?" She said noticing Xelloss sleeping next to her. She looked from Xelloss' face, to his arm. He was still asleep, that was for sure. But how did Filia manage to grab his arm?!?! She then noticed the rose that Xelloss was holding. It was rather beautiful, actually. The sun shone on it's purple pedals, making it extremely pretty, and it was shaped in the most perfect way. "W-Where did he get something so beautiful?" she thought with soft eyes. "Why does he have it?" she looked at his face. He was peacefully sleeping, without any emotion except relaxation. Filia released his arm, and reached for the rose. She carefully took it from Xelloss' hand, and brought it close to her face. As soon as it was in smelling range she sneezed, waking up fully. That sneeze woke Xelloss up, and he was just about as shocked a Filia was. They looked at eachother wide-eyed, trying to figure out what had happened. "A--A CHOO!" Filia sneezed, making Xelloss back away alittle. Xelloss smirked, and looked at Filia with a question still in his mind. Then he figured it out. The spell he did on the drink he gave Filia.. That purple powder wasn't the thing he was looking for.... Instead of waking her up, he put her into a deeper sleep, and when he drank the wine that was left, it also had some of that powder in it... 'Kuso!' Xelloss cursed. Filia looked away from Xelloss, and still held the pretty flower in her hand, with a slight blush on her face. Maybe he was going to give her the rose... But why would he?!?! He's a monster! She started to get mad, and wondered what else he did while she was sleeping. Xelloss sighed, and stood up taking his pillow. He walked over to his cape where his things were still laid out, and packed them up. He picked up Filia's mace, and put on his cape. He walked up to the startled and confused Filia, and kneeled infront of her. "Can I have my Greston Rose back now?" he asked with a sigh. Filia looked at him confused. She sneezed again, and gave it back to Xelloss. Why was is making her sneeze so much, anyways? She wasn't alergic or anything. "What is that thing?" she decided to ask. "It's a Greston Rose. It wakes you up." he simply stated and stood up. Filia also stood, and wiped herself off. "I thought monsters didn't sleep." she blurted out, making Xelloss a bit irritated. Her comment reminded him of his mistake, and he wasn't so pleased. He didn't reply, which made Filia mad. She walked towards the place where her battle from the other day was. The creatures were rotting, and some were being eaten by other animals. She covered her mouth in disgust, as Xelloss stood beside her. "Pretty, isn't it?" he smiled, taking a deep breath. "NO!" snapped Filia. "It smells...." she covered her nose. "Well! We should take a look at what they are, now shouldn't we." suggested Xelloss. Filia looked at him with a mad questioning look. "I guess." she said looking back at the creatures. She moved up to one of them, and almost puked. "Eeewwww..." She said stepping back. Xelloss wanted to say something, but decided against it. Too insulting, especially since Filia's a dragon, too. SO he moved up to Filia, and bent down near the creature. "Hmmmmm...." he thought. "What is it?" asked Filia. "It's...." he paused. "It's..?" "Something I don't know at all!" he smiled shrugging, making Filia fall over. Filia twitched on the ground, and slowly stood up. "Leave it to me, then!" She said proudly. She plugged her nose, and moved closer to a creature that Xelloss was next to. Bending down, she moved her hand close to it. Xelloss watched carefully, thinking whether or not he should say he already has the creature's sample. Filia's twitching hand moved uneasily to poke the creature. She shrieked when she did, making the whole thing demolish. "Eeewww...." "Yeah, that would probably happen after the attack I did. .." smiled Xelloss. Filia growled. "Now what are we supposed to do!?! I needed a sample, you idiot!" "Am I really an idiot..?" smiled Xelloss holding out the sample he took. Filia looked at it shocked, then angry. "Why didn't you tell me you had that in the first place....?!" Xelloss shrugged. "UGH! Give me that!" screamed Filia. She walked off stealing the sample. "Oh? And where do you plan on going?" asked Xelloss. "To my lab!" she yelled over her shoulder. Xelloss disappeared, and re-appeared walking by Filia. "Mind if I come along?" he asked. Filia kept on walking with an angry face. "Just don't play any tricks!" Xelloss smiled. "I am a trickster, but..." he saw Filia growling. "Whatever you say, Ms. Filia." They walked in silence for a very long time. The Dragon Temple was at their backs, and it was near mid-day. "You're probably wondering why I fell asleep." said Xelloss corrupting the silence. Filia didn't answer. "I was trying to wake you up." he stated. "And that's why YOU fell asleep?" asked Filia curiously. "I made a potion," he said ignoring her last comment. "and I accidently mixed the wrong substances." he paused. "So I gave the potion to you, and I made it with wine. There was some wine left over, so I drank it and fell asleep." "So you dosed yourself with a potion that didn't wake people up, but put them to sleep." Filia thought out loud. Then silence. "HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA! YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Filia rolling on the ground. Xelloss stood irritated. 'Why did I even tell her that in the first place!' he cursed himself. Well, she was probably going to ask anyway.... He sighed, and watched Filia laugh. She hasn't really changed, has she..... He was hoping to atleast have a decent friendship, since they'd probably be working together on this but... Filia couldn't stop laughing. It's rare to see Xelloss make a mistake, and she wanted it to last forever. She might have been exagerating alittle though... "Shouldn't we get going?" asked the bored Xelloss. Watching her laugh all day wasn't something he'd like to do. Filia slowed down, and whiped a tear from her eye. She was laughing so hard, she was crying at the same time. "Ok... ok...." she said slowly stopping. "I'll stop.. I'll stop..." Why was she laughing so hard anyways? "Thank you." said Xelloss as he started walking again. They walked side by side, without a word. It was now almost evening, and they didn't do anything, nor say anything but walk. Filia looked at Xelloss. He had the same usual smile on his face, and seemed normal. Then the thought of him making the mistake popped in her mind. She tried not to laugh, but failed. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!" she fell to the ground again, and continued rolling. Xelloss looked at her, and had a slight frown on his face. That wasn't nice..... He watched Filia roll, and laugh and laugh and laugh... "Hmm." he smiled having a wicked thought on his mind. "How about we change the way she looks.." he thought for a moment. "Yes! That's perfect! And this time, I know what I'm doing!" he grinned evily. Filia couldn't stop laughing, and she didn't even know why she was. She felt a rush of cold air, but continued laughing anyways. Xelloss looked at the cold Filia, and burst into a hard laugh. They both laughed, rolling on the ground. Only one person was wearing something... different. Filia felt the breeze hit her legs, which shook her into shock. She sat up, and realized Xelloss was laughing at her. Then slowly, she looked at herself. She wore knee high leather boots. (bright pink) And a fuzzy blue tootoo.... which hardly even touched her thighs, meaning it was very high up.... She wore a very tight pink top, that was like a bathing suit.... And her hair... It was dyed pink and blue. She was dressed as a skimpy, pink and blue, ballerina. The dragon blushed with embarassment, and looked over at the rolling Xelloss. A wave of anger filled her mind, as she grew a big shade of angry red. Steam flew off her body, as she stared devilishly at the now afraid Xelloss. Reaching for her mace, she realized it was gone. But looking back at Xelloss, she saw a black handle popping out of his cape. Her Mace. "Hehe.. Filia... *ahem* hehe... It was only a joke...." he laughed uneasily, not noticing what she had. "YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" screamed Filia, knocking Xelloss more than 100 meters away. "GIVE ME BACK MY MACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed, running to hit him more. "XXXXXXXEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" .................................. --_-- |
