How To Make Your Very Own Sailor Saturn Doll
Okay, Now, personally being a fan of Sailor Saturn (She's the best <3!) I am really steamed that no one in the United States sells Sailor Saturn dolls and therefore it costs well over $50 for a six inch tall doll. Ridiculous? I think so. I may be obsessive but I'm not rich or crazy, so I refuse to pay that much for a toy I'm too old for anyway. (Yes 15 is too old to play with dolls...)  So I found a wonderful site that told me how to make one of my own :)  Here's the link: click me
The only problem I ran into at this site was that I didn't have the right Sailor Mars doll for this.  What you do is start with a Sailor Mars doll and change her hair and fuku to Saturn's.  So here's how I did it.  Keep in mind that unless you're artistic you probably shouldn't use my method but the method used on the site I listed above.

Here's what you need:
A Sailor Mars doll. Got 1? Go buy another. (We don't want to deface Rei-chan!) If you don't have one then get two :) if you have two, then great! It can be any version DiC doll and although I haven't tried it with other brands it probably works with them too.
Acrylic paints. Peach, cerulean blue, red, white, and black. I would make sure you have plenty of each.
Paint brushes of many sizes
A covered area to work on
The cardboard box from your Sailor Mars doll
A pontytail holder
Scissors

How to do it:

Step1.
Pull the doll's hair back in a bun (Doesn't have to be neat, just has to keep it out of your way.) Take off her Fuku, boots, choker, and gloves.  Put doll in the box. (Lay the box transparent side down)

Step 2. Mix paint to the appropriate color purple. (I shouldn't even have to say this but red and blue and maybe a little black or white to fix the shade) Paint the back of the collar and skirt of the fuku, the outside of the elbows of the gloves the outside of the boots, and the choker. (note: any white on the collar or the boots should be painted over) Let it dry.

Step 3. Rei-chan's skin is much darker then Hotaru-chan's.  Mix the peach paint with the white to get the desired skin tone and pain the doll's skin. (Paint over eyes, blush, and lips, you'll paint them on later). This may take more than one coat of paint and you should probably paint in stages (paint the front, let dry, paint the back)
When doll is drying, but it in the box as a "drying bed". I suggest this because my dad didn't appreciate the naked doll laying in the living room all day and I'm going to assume that whoever you live with won't appreciate it either.

Step 4. After the clothing is dry, paint the front skirt and collar of the fuku, the inside of the top of the gloves, the top of the inside of the boots, (You don't have to paint all of the inside of the boots because it will get scratched off anyway.) , and the back of the choker. If there are no spots you missed on the boots, then paint on laces. If she has tall boots then paint a white bow at the top and five X's on the way down on each boot. If they are short boots then just put a white X near the top of each boot. Let them dry (yet again)

Step 5. Once the clothes are dry (again) start on details. Paint the back of the fuku's collar and the inside of the skirt.  Paint the rest of the gloves white.

Step 6. When the fuku is dry, paint the bows dark red. (really dark red. ei- add black to your red.) After the bows dry, paint the white part of the fuku white.

Step 7. Cut out a star-burst shape (Like Saturn's brooch) from the cardboard of the box.  Cut another smaller one for the choker.  Paint both sides white and glue the larger one to the brooch, and the smaller one to the center of the choker.

Step 8.
Once the doll has dried. Paint her face on.   Use a picture of Hotaru-chan to get the shape of the eyes right.  (Her eyes are dark purple) Then do her blush (a tiny tiny tiny bit of red combined with a lot of skin color. (The blush shouldn't really be noticeable.) Make sure to blend it well. Then use light pink for her lips.  Remember eyebrows and eyelashes to. Also, paint her fingernails the same color as her skirt. You won't be able to see it with her gloves on but have you ever noticed how the Sailor Senshi get a manicure when they morph? Also, paint the jewel in her tiara white and paint on earings.

Step 9. Now it's time for the brave part: Cut her hair!  Once she's dry take the doll's hair down and brush it. Then cut her hair off about halfway down. After that cut it to the desired hotaru length/style.  TAKE YOUR TIME BECAUSE IT WON'T GROW OUT LIKE ANY OTHER BAD HAIR CUT WOULD.

Step 10. Okay, if you're REALLY BRAVE, after everything dries cut her sleeves to look like Sailor Saturn's by cutting triangles out around the sleeves. If you're not sure what you're doing then don't. Just skip that part.  Dress her (Keep in mind that it's okay to stretch the gloves and that the paint on her feet WILL most likely chip off when you put her shoes on.)

Step 11. The Silence Glaive. Okay, now, if you have a Queen Beryl doll then just put her staff in Saturn's hand. If you don't (like me), then do this:
Cute the shape of the head of the glaive out of cardboard and cover it with tin foil (Tin foil should fan out at the bottom,)  (You may want to cover the tin foil in scotch tape to hold it on.)  Then take a black paintbrush (with the metal thingy near the bristles) and attach the head to the part with the bristles by wraping the excess tin foil around it and taping it. Put it in Saturn's hand.  Ta Dah! It's Sailor Saturn!
