Athena Chu
My comment:
I think Athena Chu is one of the prettiest girl in HK movie industry. Her acting is good, too. I think she has the ability to play in many kinds of roles.
But her best performance might be the role that she played in a movie called "The Boss Up There" which is quite a good movie. It was the first time I saw
her acted in a more dramtic role like this.
Her TV Series
The Legendary Ranger
She acted as a nurse who secretly loved Leon Lai's character. This was the first time I saw her. I don't think this series was that good.
Athena's performance was okay but I don't like her character much.
The Edge of Righteousness
She paired up with Dicky Cheung here and they made quite a cute couple.
The Legend of the Condor Heroes 1994
Acted as Wong Yung. She was criticized a lot about her portrayal. Maybe not as good as Barbara Yung but I think Athena did
a nice job and tried to add her own techniques. She looks cute, too. She paired up with Chilam Cheung.
War of Bribery
She played an ICAC cop and paired up with Aaron Kwok. (who was also a cop in the show) Quite a tough character. She had a short hair
in this series. The series itself was alright but the cases were nothing special..not so exciting or anything. Marco Ngai played the bad guy here.
Duke of the Mountain Deer 2001
Latest version of Duke of the Mountain Deer and it's her latest series that I saw. She looks very pretty in this series. Her character hated Wai Siu Bo (Dicky Cheung) at first but then
fell for each other later. This version somehow was very different from the book.
