We've all seen the commericals about each product "slamming" the other. Crest says that Colgate isn't effective because Colgate is washed away by your saliva after two minutes. Colgate says that Crest isn't worth the money because you hafta wear strips. Well, I've used both products.
Colgate: Cheaper, but money isn't everything. It is true that the gel is washed away after a few minutes by your saliva. The gel can tend to make your gums and tongue feel like they are burning.
Crest: More expensive thatn the gel, but the price keeps coming down. Unlike Colgate, Crest does not feel as if your gums are burning. Whitestrips are enamel-safe, so you can use them every single day. The only bad thing is that the strips for the bottom teeth aren't long enough. I didn't mind wearing the strips for 30 minutes, you just toss them away. Since the strips stay on the teeth, the gel doesn't get washed away.
OVERALL: Crest Whitstrips might be a little more expensive than Colgate Simply White, but the Whitestrips give far better results with no pain. |
