Compressor Inlet Modification

The stock compressor inlet has a relief manufactured in it to allow for additional clearance near the brake booster. There was ample clearance, so I had the relief cut out and a piece of metal welded in it's place. If you look at the shiny spot in the picture, you can still see some of the weld.

Sorry, I forgot to take a before picture.

From this angle you can still see some of the welds I couldn't reach to smooth out. While I had the inlet removed, I port matched the inlet to the BBK 80mm throttle body and gave the piece a new coat of semi-gloss black paint.
I also made a template of the compressor inlet and port matched the outlet of the inlet to the compressor. The most noticeable change is the contour. The original outlet was rectangular.
