The
popular TV series Home Improvement is based on a family near Detroit,
Michigan. This family consists of a mother, father and their three sons.
It shows what most people think of suburban America, where you can talk
to your neighbor over a wooden fence. For the most part, the kids stay
out of serious trouble and the parents get along with each other. This
series represents what many think of families in the 90's, even though
many families do not live in quiet suburbs where most people are friendly
and the family consists of the original members, with no "step" brothers
or sisters.
