Biography of myself......
I as a child was introduced to working dogs by my great uncle,
who after WW11 brought back two extremely well bred GSD's. Both worked in
the German Army.
I really can't go into specifics my uncle died many years ago...
but trust me when I say working dogs and protectors! Once you see loyalty
like that.....
its impossible to not want the same in your own dog.
But as a child it somehow crept into my mind.
I was raised with many different breeds from English Springers
to Blue Tick Beagals raised for hunting we also owned German Shorthaired
pointers.
My Dad and older brothers loved to hunt and found the Shorthair master at
his trade.
My Dad then bought a very well bred GSD for home protection..Colonel Klink
was the dogs name. I WAS HOOKED.
.I could train him to do anything imaginable as a child the gratification
is great.
I moved out to start my college education and bought my first Dog..
A Doberman Pinscher named Volt he was a very ,very special dog this was
in the late 70's he was my mistake dog.
I made all my learning mistakes on him,he still was a special dog, very protective.
He lived till 9 yrs of age got hit by a car.
I had heard rumors of this new breed, although obviously not new, fairly
new to our area.
I saw my first one at a local AKC dog show in the early 80's. Too make a
very long story short...
HOOKED AGAIN. I had to have one, at the time with college and living
on my own too expensive to buy.So I kept a son from my Doberman till he
passed.
Then as I started my working career, I bought my first Rottweiler bitch.
She was a ok bred female at the time, I thought the world of her.
She lived a very short life and was killed by a car after leaving her at
a kennel to be bred...
Very SAD time in my life! So I went out and bought a Male from a much better
breeder,
and started working him in Protection at a local dog club.
This is how I became to love the working aspects.
He finished his protection after about three solid yrs of training, and we
dabbled in French Ring.
Having learned my lessons with Rottweilers always the hard way.
I am the better for it and the efforts of others to maintain OUR breed.
since the late 80's and early 90's my experience is many.
I helped work dogs at a friends business American K-9.
We worked all guard and some protection dogs, mixed in with his SCH and
Ring dogs.
This is how you come to respect the power and intelligence of this GREAT
BREED.
My mission isn't to produce more rottweilers but to carefully select Rottweilers
for
people interested in them.I love the breed and will do my best to not do
any harm.
I will only breed for the betterment, if it means my dogs don't get bred
........so be it! We all need and deserve only healthy excellent temperamented
Rottweilers bred the old fashioned way ........through experience.
Cheers...
