Emily

-A very interesting (I know I’m over using that word but it’s the best one I could find) continuation of Christmas Carol. Undoubtedly some of Gillian Anderson’s best acting.

-I thought it was sweet the way Mulder didn’t want to disturb Scully and Emily when he first saw them. The way Scully smiled at him to let him know that she wanted him there was priceless.

-Mulder’s Mr. Potato Head impression was hilarious! A very interesting party trick. But one thing, Emily said she was coloring a potato, by the look of the drawing it was one HUGE potato.

-My heart broke for Scully while she had to sit there and hear what Mulder said about her ova being harvested. She looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

-If you ever have the urge to call Bill jr. his number is 555-0380.

-That big patch of green on the back of Emily’s neck looked very gross and very noticeable. Makes you wonder why it took our diligent Agents to notice it.

-I liked the way the two of them looked when the Doctor asked if they were Emily’s parents. It looked like they were half considering saying yes but instead went with the smaller lie of just saying Scully was the mother.

-Mulder’s butt kicking scene was great. Personally I think I’m going to avoid getting attacked in the building where Dr. Calderon works, the security guard made no attempts to stop Mulder from walking out the door.

-I liked the burly orderly guy who without thinking just attacked the guy when Scully told him to. He didn’t seem to wonder why she’d be running through the hospital with her gun drawn or why he should stop the guy. I guess he was just so enthralled by her he just jumped the guy without thinking.

-I love the Lone Gun Men!!! I’m always happy to see them in an episode, even if they are illegally hacking into adoption files.

-So why did the Syndicate (I’m assuming that’s who did it) use old women as their host mothers? Do they just have a thing for the elderly?

-Looks like Emily is not the last of Scully’s future children. I really want to hurt the men who would put her through this more than once. I’m forced to wonder if Mulder ever told her about these foetuses.

-Mulder’s Little Collection: Well Mulder can now add to his freaky collection of Scully’s ova a vile of green goo, I’m not sure what it does but it looks cool.

-Things I Learned:All the aliens have green poisonous goo for blood until they need to give blood for DNA tests, at which point they switch to normal blood so no one suspects a thing.

-Best Line:Frohike: “Any fetching young Mother’s in there?”

Mulder: “Yeah, I think you might have a shot here, Frohike.” Rating: 9 sand filled coffins out of 10
