Tooms
- A great sequel to Squeeze, but this time the plot wasn't a whodunit but the question of will Mulder and Scully be able to prove that its Tooms before he goes into hibernation.
- Aren't there security cameras at Druid Hill? Wouldn't they be able to see his extendo arm trying to open the door?
- 75% success rate, you've got to feel bad for the other 25%
- Toom's review board got a Mulder slide show and they're still not convinced! What more do they want?
- Don't the matching fingerprints interest them at all?
- This was just one situation among many where a 'Mulder court' would have paid off. A court that would accept the idea of abduction by aliens, and humans going into hibernation.
- Picking up road kill, after watching Tooms lick his fingers I belive the statement, "One man's pain is another man's pleasure".
- Just fresh from her meeting where she got yelled at for not following procedure Scully requsitions a Ground Penetrating Radar machine and two agents. All this on the hunch of an ex-cop. Shes lucky they found something or she would have been in a whole heap of trouble.
- Mulder didn't seem at all bothered by the way his opening of Tooms' van was totally illegal.
- TV has sure come a long way. From "Leave it To Beaver"'s first ever seen on TV toilet shot to the toilet snakeing we were treated to. Don't you just love progress?
- Some people find joy in weird places. Like Tooms, I can only assume that he likes being in toilets because he opted to crawl around in one when there was obviously easy window access to the house.
- Tooms' review board wouldn't be able to ignore the big set of brown handprints that Tooms left on the window sill. Too bad Mulder won't need to present that evidence any time soon.
- Why was the missing body burried with pennies? So Tooms would be able to date it later?
- Um.. Mulder, I hate to tell you this but they've out to put an end to the X-Files for years.
- This episode marks Scully's first (and so far last) attempt to call Mulder Fox. Too bad she was horribly shot down.
- Scully's "Wouldn't miss if for the world." to Mulder's sugestion of 'Pete Rose's all sports radio show' seemed genuine.
- With all the wakeing up Mulder was doing I'm surprised he didn't see Tooms in his apartment.
- I wish that Doctor guy had lived, then Mulder would have gotten the chance to say "I told you so."
- The episode ended with some beutiful (yet slightly condesending) foreshadowing.
- Clothes Call: The bright blue coat one of Tooms' potential victims wore, I think it could be seen from space.
- Things I Learned: I learned a lot about FBI procedure. First that there is no statue of limitations on murder cases. Second, the rules on surveillance are found in article 30 paragraph 8.7.
-Best Line: "If theres an ice tea in that bag it good be love." "Must be fate Mulder, Rootbear." "Uh!"
