Episode Guide
Episode 1: Pilot
Ed after being fired from his job(proofreading contracts in a back room for 90 hours a week)for forgetting a comma in a 500 page contract goes home to have his wife comfort him. When he gets home he discovers his wife sleeping with "a" mailman. He goes back to the town he grew up in, Stuckeyville. He moves in with The Burton's, high-school friends who have a daughter named Sarah.  He falls in love with his high-school crush, Carol Vessey. After recieving a kiss from her, he buys a bowling alley and meets his three interesting staff members. He tries to win Carol Vessey over who his in a seven-year-relationship with Nick Stanton, Ed's sophmore English teacher.
Episode 2: The World of Possibility
Ed takes on a case for Stuckeyville Stan. A masked man is going around town revealing how Stuckeyville Stan does his traditional act and Stuckeyville Stan begs the court to make him stop revealing them. Carol Vessey's childhood diary becomes a crucial piece of evidence in the case. Phil is put in charge of picking the concession supplies. Shirley paints Stuckeybowl on the ceiling.
Episode 4: Pretty Girls and Waffles
Things start not working out for Carol and Nick. Carol suggests they break off their seven year relationship. Ed represennts an attractive woman in court against a fast talking car salesman who had been slipping extra money in her pay check and now wants it back.
Carol and Bonnie both go after Ed and each other. Ed tries to help save Carol's music box Bonnie lets Ed know he needs to choose her or Carol. Carol and Bonnie both join Ed in court for one of his cases and Bonnie does some interigating of her own. Warren joins a bush league bowling team.
Episode 3: Just Friends
Ed goes to court about a bar napkin contract three friends signed. He ends up going up against Farmer ans Sheehan, the people who fired him. Ed decides to pick a new manager. Ed finds a way to show Carol he wants her.
Episode 5: Better Days
Ed continues to try to win over Carol. He takes on a new case over a bad haircut. Since stuckeybowl attendance has been low Ed decides to let Phil make commercial for Stuckeybowl. Nancy tries to plan some mind expanding activities with Mike.
