Then Jian Pin's father gave 2 boxes to the eunuch. One contains a letter to the king and another box contained jewelry so that the eunuch can deliver it to the king if anything happens to him. Then Gong Gong followed the eunuch and asked to see what was inside. He took the letter to see Shia Lua Han and read it to him. Jian Pin's father included the letter showing the wedding arrangement between Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han and he wanted them to marry. And if the king doesn't agree to it, then he'll kill himself to apologize to the king. Shia Lua Han started crying and asked Gong Gong what he should do. Gong Gong told him to write a letter telling Jian Pin to marry the 2nd prince. Shia Lua Han said that he could not tell Jian Pin to marry another guy. They went through so many obstacles to be together and their wedding is so near. And he vowed to love her and be together forever. Shia Lua Han said that he could just leave but Gong Gong said that if you leave, she'll follow you.
Shia Lua Han wrote a letter to Jian Pin. He left the jade with the letter. He wrote that he does not want her father to give up his life so that they can be together. And they cannot be happy together if he sacrificed his life for their happiness. And he knows that she's going to say that they can run away. Shia Lua Han said that it is not possible because he's old and cannot have him hiding and running with them. He told her to give the 2nd prince a chance and that he is better suited for her. He spent his whole life being a killer, it's time that he pay for all his deed. He said that there is no better solution, this is fate and nothing can change it. And that he knows that she will suffer great pain, but that his pain is no less than hers. After Jian Pin read the letter, it dropped to the floor.
Shia Lua Han was walking and he looks weak because of his internal injury. Then Gong Gong was standing in front of him. He stared at Shia Lua Han, walked behind him, and hit him in the back. Shia Lua Han fell down to the ground and said that he was going to die anyways, why not let him live for a couple of days. They tied his brother to the table and he watched them cut him up. Then he got a knife and starting slashing those around him but he could not save his brother. He ran away and fell down in the river and Che Wong Ye saved him. From then on, he became his bodyguard and was loyal to him. And when he saved Shia Lua Han, he was hoping that he would be just as loyal to him but Shia Lua Han changed when he met Jian Pin and he disobeyed orders to kill her.
Shia Lua Han asked Gong Gong what right does he have to take his life. Gong Gong said that since Shia Lua Han cannot recover from the internal injury and he doesn't want to see him suffer so he's helping him end his life. Shia Lua Han said that he doesn't have a right to do this, it would make him happy to see the sun rise and the sun set and that's how he wanted to live out his remaining days. Then Gong Gong said that he got tired of talking to him and he needs to go and take care of more important business. He had his hand on Shia Lua Han's head to kill him and Shia Lua Han said that he's no different from the rich family who killed his brother because he's a monster.
Then Jian Pin came and saw Shia Lua Han lying down on the ground. He smiled at her and she tried to carry him to get help. As she was carrying him, he fell down and fainted. She stood there and stared at him, then sat down and rocked herself because she thought that he died. Then the 2nd prince saw her sitting at a log and told her that he brought the medicine for Shia Lua Han, and the medicine can even save someone from the dead. Then she snatched it and ran to where Shia Lua Han's body was. But she did not see him and started calling out his name. Then she saw his flute lying at the edge of the cliff and thought that he fell down the cliff and died. She went back to her room and sat there in the dark, with his letter, flute, and jade. The 2nd prince was standing at the door and was sad to see that she was so sad. She held the jade to her cheek and started to cry.
Siao Long was sitting outside and said that finally he found a brother but why does he have to die. Jian Pin's father heard it and thought that Shia Lua Han canceled the marriage because he knew that he was dying. Siao Fok said that it was strange because several days ago, he checked Shia Lua Han and he seemed like he was getting better.
Meanwhile, Dai Lang was following Mo Ma and tried to be an obedient and nice lady. Mo Ma said that it bothers him and makes him want to throw up to see her this way. Dai Lang saw that Mo Ma wanted to throw up so she went to buy tea. While she was gone, Bai Siao Xi impersonate Dai Lang and Mo Ma came to save her from the guys who were fighting with the fake Dai Lang. Then Bai Siao Xi froze him and brought him to her master. Meanwhile, Dai Lang came back and waited the whole day for him and then got mad because she thought that he ditched her.
Bai Siao Xi's master spoke to Mo Ma and asked him to come back. He said that Mo Ma did not accomplish anything except for being a servant. He wanted Mo Ma to come help him. When Mo Ma said no, he tried to threaten him by wanting to harm Dai Lang. He asked Mo Ma if Dai Lang is pretty and Mo Ma said that she's ugly compare to the Dong Yuan women from his time. The master decided to let him go and Mo Ma said that he won't thank him for this.
As he was walking back, Dai Lang came and asked him where he went. He decided to be mean to her because he did not want the Dong Yuan people to injure her. So he said that it was none of her business. Then Dai Lang said that she likes it when he acts like a tough guy. Then he said that if she wants to be his wife, then she has to accept his new attitude. Then he went to the brothel and started hugging girls and Dai Lang was sitting there smiling and watching him. He started comparing their names to her ugly name. And Dai Lang said that he's all talk and no action. So he said that hs going to show her some action. He grabbed one of the girl and was leading her to the bed.
