Jian Pin's father was drinking in his room and in front of his wife's shrine. He said that he could not believe that things got out of hand. Then he tried to hang himself. Siao Lung and Siao Fok came in and saw him hanging there. They tried to pull him down and Siao Fok hung on to his body and the white cloth broke and they both fell down.
Then Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han came back and they told her that her father tried to commit suicide. Then Jian Pin told her father that he is not a good father and he never thinks about other people. He always acts alone and is very stubborn. She said that it was wrong of him to try to commit suicide because if he dies, he would not get any sympathy from the king and the king would probably kill Jian Pin too. She said that even if the king cares and decides to forgive them, Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han would never be truly happy because he sacrificed his life for their happiness. She said that the only solution is for him to die. Jian Pin's father and the 2 boys were shocked but Shia Lua Han just smiled. Then Jian Pin said that he should pretend to die. Jian Pin's father said that if he pretends to die, then he is lying to the king and that would not be loyal. He said that the king tried to get the book for so many years. Jian Pin said that he might not really want the book but he might want to get in the tomb for the gold.
Jian Pin's father pretended to die and the soldiers went to their home and saw the white lanterns hanging outside the door. The person who answered the front door told them that Jian Pin's father died.
Meanwhile, the 2nd prince is in bed because he fainted when Shia Lua Han carried Jian Pin away. He woke up and the queen told him that she sent soldiers to Jian Pin's house and the soldiers reported that Jian Pin's father committed suicide. She said that she wanted to torture Jian Pin. The queen said that Jian Pin's father caused Che Wong Ye to die and she wants to take revenge on him but since he died, then she will take revenge on his daughter. The 2nd prince told her not to but she said that his father died because of Jian Pin's father. He said that he does not want to be king and that his father is a traitor. He said that even though the king is a bad king, he is a good father and he always treats him really well. The queen asked the 2nd prince if the king would allow him to marry Jian Pin. He said that after this incident, the king would not allow him to marry Jian Pin. The queen said that if he becomes king, then he can do what he wants and marry Jian Pin. The 2nd prince said that she doesn't really want him to be the king, she only wants revenge and she really wants to be the king's mother. Then she slapped him and the 2nd prince said that he has no interest in being king or in the book. Then he walked away and the queen stood there and cried.
The king read Jian Pin's father's letter and told the 2nd prince that Jian Pin's father wants to die. The 2nd prince asked his father not to let Jian Pin's father die because it would only solve Jian Pin's father's problem and he doesn't care about the king's problem. The king said that he knows that the 2nd prince is saying that because he doesn't want Jian Pin's father to die. Then the 2nd prince said that it would embarrass the king because the people would think that it was all the 2nd prince's fault because he tried to take away somebody else's fiancée. The king asked him what would happen if he kills Jian Pin's father. The 2nd prince replied that people would talk and call him a murderer because first they take somebody else's wife and next, they kill them. Then the king said that he won't kill them and told the 2nd prince to leave.
The 2nd prince was sitting outside with the 3 keys on the table. Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han came and thank him for saving them again. The 2nd prince said that they are not off the hook yet, they need to get the book so that the king would forgive them. Then the 2nd prince walked away because he was still mad at Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han for taking her away. Jian Pin asked Shia Lua Han why didn't he explain things to the 2nd prince. Shia Lua Han said that he does not want to hurt the prince's pride because it might embarrass the prince if other people know the truth about his background.
The queen was lying in bed. She was angry and told Gong Gong that she will act as if she never had this son. She told Gong Gong to get the book and kill Jian Pin and Shia Lua Han, especially Jian Pin because she does not want to ever see her again and she does not want Jian Pin to live.
Jian Pin, Shia Lua Han and the 2nd prince were on their way to the king's tomb. The 2nd prince was sitting by himself and Jian Pin walked to him and said that it is strange because it seems that she owes him since the first day that they met. The 2nd prince said that he does not want to talk about it and Jian Pin walked away.
Shia Lua Han was sitting by himself around the fire and he walked to the 2nd prince. He said that he ruined their marriage and it was him that forced Jian Pin to leave during the marriage day. He said that Jian Pin is so stubborn that once she decided to marry the 2nd prince, nothing would change her mind and that she really wanted to marry the 2nd prince. Shia Lua Han said that if they cannot work together, then the 2nd prince should leave now because the 3 of them needs to work together or else they cannot succeed. Then the 2nd prince walked to where Jian Pin was standing (she looked very sad because the prince would not forgive her) and he took her hand and held it. Then Jian Pin said that she is selfish because she could not say no to Shia Lua Han but she does not want to lose a very good friend. Shia Lua Han watched them and he smiled.
Then Shia Lua Han's master was standing there waiting for Mo Ma. Mo Ma came and asked him where Dai Lang was. The master told him not to worry and told his people to bring her out. Dai Lang told him not to save her by betraying Jian Pin. She said that she would not thank him and would leave him if he kills Jian Pin to exchange for her safety. Then the master hit her silence point and she could not talk. He told Mo Ma to bring the book and Jian Pin's head to see him and that is the only way to save Dai Lang, so Mo Ma has to choose between Dai Lang and Jian Pin. Mo Ma turned to leave.
The three of them were in the tomb and the 2nd prince was going to put the keys in the coffin but Jian Pin told him the order. They walked in and they saw a pile of gold. Shia Lua Han said that the king must know that one day the people will need the money. Then the saw a book and Shia Lua Han asked if he wants to know what his ancestors did in the past. The 2nd prince did not say anything. Then Jian Pin saw a chest and asked if the book was in there. Then Jian Pin took the book out and it set a trap door. Shia Lua Han held the door open and told Jian Pin to leave. Shia Lua Han could not keep the door open so the prince and him could not leave. Jian Pin tried to open the door but could not and she thought of the 3 star keys and she went to get it. She turned the keys and it would not open and she told herself to calm down and think of a way to open the door.
