[Day, long shot interior of a cavernous prison mess hall full of green-uniformed PRISONERS walking in rows to their seats as a whistle blows. They are all male and mostly middle-aged, haggard, white.]
[Medium and close-up shots of the men eating. It's no party. One younger guy wears glasses and looks askance at the OLD MAN next to him, who's started smiling, calmly pounding his cup on the table.]
[The idea swiftly catches on. Pounding sounds all over the hall start up. A chant begins and takes hold. They're disciplined enough to remain seated. The chant is an idea who's time has come.]
