In Cockney English slang, the "loo" is the bathroom;
"ta" means thank you;
"Cheers" also means thank you, is sometimes a good-bye (and is sometimes a toast).
the "telly" is the TV;
giving someone a "wind-up" is like "pulling someone's leg"--a
practical joke;
a "punter" is a customer;
"bleeding" is a swear word; and
"on me tod" means alone.
