Clarita Turney-Goodhart

I was born in Hannibal and had a wonderful childhood. Worked after school at the Hannibal Mercantile where I met Roy. We were married right out of high school. Roy went into banking and I worked for Hannibal Mutual Loan and Building and Holme and Hickman Real Estate. We moved to Centralia, MO for 3 years where Roy was employed at the bank. Moved back to Hannibal in 1971 and Roy went to Commerce Bank and I got my real estate license. When Roy retired from Commerce Bank we opened our own office - Goodhart Realty. Eventually we sold the business and Roy continued to work until at age 65 we found out he had lung cancer. We have 3 children, Roy, Becky and Russell. They all married and we have 9 grandchildren. Now I have 3 great grandchildren.
My sons now operate Goodhart Construction and build homes. My daughter, Becky Ancell sells real estate and works with Ann Atkins daughter. Roy and I loved to travel and have been to Fuji, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Hawaii, Alaska and every state in the US. Our next trip was to be around the perimiter of the US, but Roy died on June 28, 1994.
Since 1994 I have traveled to Europe, Hawaii and Alaska again. Roy and I liked to bass fish and I still have our bass boat. I collect dolls and make porcelain dolls and dress them. I now have over 500 dolls. I enjoy my investment club, widow's club, and am very active in the Fifth Street Baptist Church where I am church clerk. I do a lot on my computer for all these organizations. I enjoy family, friends and renewing old school associations. We have built 10 homes so far and my next move will be to a condo.
