It's already happened........The Class of 48 met June 1, 2009 at the Mark Twain Cave pavilion at 11:30. We had 21 present. Bob and Betty Moyers, Marjorie and Floyd Gilliland, Kay and John Houf, Ann and Don Atkins, Wayne and Marilyn Clark, Darlene and Howard Goodrich, Don E. Bastian, Elsie and Ray Moore, Edith Grubb, Betty and Skip Wells, Ken Jones, Doris Horner, and Clarita Goodhart. The weather was perfect and boy - the food. Skip and Betty picked up the fried chicken at County Market and others brought plates, cups, napkins, drinks and table ware as well as wonderful food. Wow and the desserts. It was nice to have the out of towners come and be with us. Amazing how we are holding up so well. There were 8 couples there and 3 others who were there that their spouses could not attend. Don Bastian, Ken Jones, and Doris Horner. That is a wonderful blessing to have that many couples still around at our age. We are in sorrow over the passing of our classmate Harlene Winn Wilson. She came whenever she was able to our monthly meetings. We thought this went so well we think we will have an annual picnic in June. Will try for Huckleberry Park next year. However the cave was really nice.
Our next luncheon will be July 6th. We will meet at the marina and go out on the Atkins boat. So put it on your calendar and make plans to be here.
