of Glass
Steve Marshall and David Meeker conducted a powerful
ministry for young people across the United States during the 80's and
90's. Like other talented ministers of the gospel, Steve faced a
constant struggle with Satan in order to bring the message of hope and
joy to young people at at time in our church when secular society and the
influence of TV, radio, the drug culture and the movie industry were luring
our young people away from the church in droves. Steve's vibrant
testimony helped thousands of us find our way to God during those critical
years. Few people knew that all the while that he labored for Christ,
Steve also struggled with severe bi-polar disorder. The ravages
of the disease finally ended his ministry at its height and
eventually took his life in 2002. I was able to obtain copies of his
tapes thanks to David's generosity and with his permission, I'm reproducing them
for distribution at cost. Due to the age of the tapes, we've had to
restore them extensively to make them listenable and to transfer them to CD
so that the messages will be preserved.
First up are Steve's famous
"Grandma on the
Sea of Glass" and "The Flower Story". These
two are arguably his best sermons and reveal
a loving and powerful
God as only Steve could
introduce him - with humor and brilliant
clarity.
These two sermons and others like "Blessed
Assurance" and "Jesus
Said Jump" have been
responsible for grounding many of us in our
faith
against the often vicious and always
persistence attacks of the evil one who
would
drive us away from our faith, our church and
our Heavenly
