Pearl River Federation Meeting August 26, 2004
All officers attended the organizational meeting of our FFA federation. During this meeting two of our members were elected to serve as Federation officers for the 2004-05 year. Zach Gatwood was elected Vice President and Amanda Landrum was elected as Sentinel. Federation CDE will be held 2-17-05 at 1pm at Simpson County VC.
SLC July 5-8, 2004
This year Zach Gatwood, Jessica Sibley, Casey Morgan, Bethany Hatley, Amanda Landrum, Melanie Young, Jeremy Kirkland and Kyndall Roberts attended the 1st week of Summer Leadership Camp in Raymond Mississippi. The Advisors were there also.
State Convention June 7-10,2004
Gerorg Boone placed 1st in extmp. Speaking CDE in the state and will representing or State Association in October at the National Convention in October in Lousiville Kentuckey.
Avangelia Kirkland is the STATE FFA reporter for the 2004-05 school year.
Jeremey Kirkland was named South District State Junior Star Farmer. He recieved his Junior State FFA Degree and was elected as the State Junior Sentinel for the upcoming 2004-05 year.
Avangelia Kirkland and Zack Gatwood won 1st in the Tee Shirt Design contest.
Our Chapter Recieved the Gold Emblem Award for its POA.

Our Agriscience team Placed 1st. The team memebers were Jessica Sibley, Kellie Madden, Amy Madden, and Trent Sigrest.
Our Junior Livestock Team Placed 3rd. The team members were Brianna Tisdale, Kendall Roberts,and Jeremy Kirkland..
Our Nursery and Landscape Team placed 2nd. The members were Casey Morgan, Bethany Hatley,and Melanie Young.
Our Dairy Food Evaluation team participated. The members were Zack Gatwood, Amanda Landrum, Jessica Lingle and Rusty Williams.
Our Meat Evaluation Team participated. The members were Denver Taylor, Adam Hessin and Dillon Sigrest.

George Boone our extemp. speaker placed 2nd with his speech. Machelle Lewis our Prepared Public Speaker placed 4th with her speech. Our opening and closing team did well but did not place in this event. Our Creed speaker did not place but did well in her event.
Laurel Fair Results October12-18, 2003
Avangelia Kirkland, Jeremy Kirkland,Benjamin Kirkland, Hunter Dye, Trey Tisdale and Brianna Tisdale participated in the Laurel fair with thier livestock. Avamgelia placed second in showmanship. Avangelia Kirkland placed 1st with her steer; Jeremy Kirkland placed 2nd with his steer;and Benjamin placed with his heifer; Hunter placed 4th with his steer; Trey and Brianna did well with their hogs.
