| On the day Jonah Rogers was buried his daughter, Charlotte, rode a mule to the Aimwell cemetery for the funeral. Before she left she cut a Cedar limb to use as a switch on the mule. When the service was over, as the mourners departed, Charlotte stuck the green switch at the head of Jonah's grave. That switch sprouted roots to become a tree. |
