THEY RAISED THEIR GOLDEN GOBLETS
Innocent lambs led to slaughter,
A silver missile in the air,
Out of a clear, blue, cloudless sky,
Satan alone aware.
NOT TRUE! God was standing in the wings,
He opened His arms ... WIDE!
He caught every falling soul,
Not a one escaped his eye!
Angels helped to carry them,
To their eternal home,
And the grandest welcome was prepared,
That heaven had ever known.
The banquet tables, laden,
Relatives gathered near
Bestowing hugs and kisses,
Crying "I am here, dear, over here."
They raised their golden goblets,
As together, they drank toasts,
"Hail to Jesus Christ, Our Lord,
The Most Heavenly of Hosts."
An evil turned into a blessing,
In a most amazing way,
Satan gained absolutely nothing,
And God saved every soul that day.

It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things into perspective, but it has. The lessons learned this week, the things we have taken for granted, the things that have been forgotten or overlooked, hopefully will never be forgotten again.
