The Bandit is an over-due inductee in any wrestling Hall of Fame. Making an impact originally by founding the ultra-successful XWF promotion in 2001, he made periodic appearances on TWF Television for around a year or so. Many TWF fans were wondering if the legend would ever make an appearance on TV in a bigger role.
He was the man who interviewed Brownie at King of the Ring 2002 when he ditched his brother and Team EV stablemates. Bandit was not around for much longer in 2002, but in 2003 exploded back into the TWF when he memorably interupted Hawke at Deadly MindGames during a backstage interview. Bandit fought his way to the very top of the TWF and suddenly found himself in a TWF World Championship match against Frekishi, who was awarded the title after an injury to High Voltage. At Easter HeAT, Bandit delivered one of the most memorable victories in wrestling history after hitting the Stupifier to become the champion. Frekishi, incensed at losing the title demanded a rematch and got one at Cyberslam the following month, but again Bandit walked away with the championship. At Against All Odds that year, Bandit made a mockery of Marz in a great bout which saw both men have a back-and-fourth battle.
Hawke then entered the crosshairs of the champion and at the first ever xWa Supercard - Xtreme Overdose, the most contreversial TWF World Championship match ever took place. Hawke used a steel chair against Bandit, but when the referee, Bob Sage, turned around, Bandit held the chair and due to the rules of the match, Hawke became champion. Bandit could not believe it, but the TWF made sure Bandit was not left feeling angry by granting a re-match at Total Chaos at the famous Embassy Coliseum in Bridgend in a special match. Mr. BIG as CEO made the match the first ever Pyramid Cage match. Bandit solidifed his entry in the Match of 2003 in what was the most barbaric and amazing cage match ever contested in wrestling history. Bandit managed to walk away in one piece from the match, and with the TWF World Championship back around his waist. Bandit again made history at Summer Break 2003 by becoming the first TWF World Champion to retain his title since 2000. Bandit eventually lost the strap at Halloween Hell when The Shott, riding a wave of nostalgia, won the championship for a 3rd time.
After that, Bandit re-united with his long-time tag-team partner and best friend: JT Money. The tag-team f.k.a nWo Sickness had a few matches together before the RWA vs. S&D war peaked in early 2004, finally ending when Bandit won his team the WarGames match at Total Chaos. Before that, Bandit became an Intercontinental Champion after defeating The Assassin in a classic match at Deadly MindGames. He caught the attention of Jason Davies and the two fought a series of great matches, including the famed 2-out-of-3 falls match in June. After his loss of the IC Title in a cage match at Summer Break V, Bandit had a quiet period where some issues took over his life and he was unable to compete. But in early 2005, Bandit made a return to the aide of his good friend Mr. BIG.
Bandit still has not his peak in terms of wrestling ability and his entry into the hall of fame is a deserved one for helping re-build the foundations of the TWF as it was beginning to crumble.
